Founded in 1987 by Marcella Crudeli, famous concert pianist and professor, the “Fryderyk Chopin” Association of Rome organizes musical events, no profit.
Pursuing its main institutional goals and organizing its activities, the Associazione “Chopin” has always paying attention to the cultural and professional interests of young musicians in order to put them in the best position to face, with a more refined cultural deepening and a better experience, the difficult preparation to their job. Confirming to this, many concert of the Associazione “Chopin” are dedicated to young winners of musical competitions.
The main events created by our Society are the International Piano Competition “Rome”, taking place since 1990, every month of October and the concert season “Primavera e Autunno Musicale Italiano”. |

The International Piano Competition “Rome” is held, with the patronage and the contribution of the Ministry of Culture, with the Patronage of all the national Institutions and of the City of Rome at the Cloister of the Confraternita di S. Giovanni Battista de’ Genovesi, Rome. The best music level of the “Rome” Competition’s expresses itself in the prizewinners’ concert in one of the most important theatres of Rome, broadcasted by the Vatican Radio all over the world. Juries are composed every year by eminent international concert performers, pedagogues, composers and journalists from many countries.

| The “Chopin” Association also organizes evry year since 1988, with the patronage and with the contribution of the Ministry for Culture and under the aegis of the EPTA-Italy (European Piano Teachers Association) a concert season, the “Primavera e Autunno Musicale Italiano” at the “Tito Brandsma” Hall. The eleven concerts take place in spring and autumn seasons with many Italian and foreigner talented musicians, mostly of them winners of international contests. |
